Brix & Refractometer Calculator

Convert Brix to specific gravity and correct refractometer readings during active fermentation. Supports a wort correction factor for accurate in-fermentation gravity estimates.

Why refractometer correction matters

A refractometer reads sugar concentration accurately before fermentation, but alcohol changes the refractive index. Enter original gravity and current Brix to estimate the corrected final gravity.

Wort correction factor

Most beer wort needs a correction factor because refractometers are calibrated for sucrose. A value around 1.04 is a practical starting point.
